Our optometric technician plays a vital role in ensuring efficient patient flow by assisting the optometrist with pre-screenings and testing, which helps deliver the best possible care. No optical experience or certification is required; training is provided!

Enjoy Sundays off! Availability on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays is required.

Job Responsibilities

• Ensure high-quality patient care.
• Maintain a professional environment and appearance.
• Understand ocular terminology, diseases, and abbreviations.
• Explain preliminary examinations to patients.
• Complete paperwork and perform testing prior to examinations.
• Promote visual field testing and retinal screenings.
• Perform exam pre-screening.
• Review prescriptions and patient info, noting special needs and consulting with team members as necessary.
• Maintain equipment properly.

Qualifications

• Previous retail/optical experience preferred but not required.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to learn optical terminology and procedures.
• Clear communication skills.
• Interpersonal, organizational, and multitasking skills.
• Professional appearance and attitude.
