Role Overview

The optometric technician supports efficient patient flow by conducting pre-screenings and tests before the optometrist's examination. No optical experience or certification required; training provided!

Enjoy Sundays off—our store is closed every Sunday!

Responsibilities

1. Ensure high-quality patient care.
2. Maintain a professional environment in the office and pretest room.
3. Understand ocular terminology and diseases, including abbreviations.
4. Explain preliminary examinations to patients.
5. Complete paperwork and perform testing prior to doctor’s examination.
6. Promote visual field testing and retinal screenings.
7. Perform exam pre-screening.
8. Review prescriptions and patient information, identify special needs, and consult with team members as necessary.
9. Maintain equipment properly.

• Previous retail or optical experience preferred but not required.
