The optometric technician plays a vital role in maintaining efficient patient flow by assisting the optometrist with pre-screenings and testing, which helps provide the best eye care. No optical experience or certification is required; training is provided!

Responsibilities:

• Ensure high-quality patient care.
• Maintain a professional environment and appearance.
• Understand ocular terminology, diseases, and abbreviations.
• Explain preliminary examinations to patients.
• Complete paperwork and perform pre-exam testing.
• Promote visual field and retinal screenings.
• Perform exam pre-screening.
• Review prescriptions and patient information carefully, consulting with team members as needed.
• Maintain equipment properly.
