This role involves supporting patient flow, assisting with pre-screenings, and conducting vision tests to aid the optometrist. No optical experience or certification is needed; training is provided.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure high-quality patient care.
• Maintain a professional environment in the office and pretest rooms.
• Understand ocular terminology, diseases, and abbreviations.
• Explain preliminary examinations to patients.
• Complete paperwork and testing before the doctor’s examination.
• Promote visual field testing and retinal screenings.
• Perform exam pre-screenings.
• Review prescriptions and patient information, and collaborate with team members as needed.
• Maintain medical equipment properly.

Ideal Candidate:

• Previous retail or optical experience is preferred but not required.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to learn optical terminology and procedures.
