Role Overview

The optometric technician is essential for maintaining efficient patient flow, assisting the optometrist with pre-screenings and testing before examinations. No optical experience or certification is required; training provided!

Responsibilities

• Ensure high-quality patient care.
• Maintain a professional environment and appearance.
• Understand ocular terminology, diseases, and abbreviations.
• Explain preliminary examinations to patients.
• Complete paperwork and perform pre-testings.
• Promote visual field and retinal screenings.
• Perform exam pre-screening.
• Review prescriptions and patient info, and consult with team when needed.
• Maintain equipment properly.
