Dr. Tavel Optical Group in Indianapolis is seeking an Optometric Technician to support doctors with pre-tests, patient data collection, and preparing patients for exams. No eye care experience is required; we value focus, discipline, and a genuine desire to help others.

You will learn the skills to succeed in a fast-paced, patient-centered practice. This role offers hands-on training, a starting hourly wage of $17, opportunities for certifications and wage increases, and a benefits package

Qualifications

• No eye care experience required; attitude and willingness to learn are valued.
• Prior medical/clinical experience helpful but not required.
• Two-week paid training with no absences is mandatory.
• Excellent communication and attention to detail in a fast-paced clinic.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-tests and diagnostic procedures accurately and efficiently.
• Collect and document patient histories and current health information.
• Communicate with doctors and help manage clinic flow.
• Maintain clean, functional equipment for a seamless patient experience.
• Assist with insurance verification and benefit authorizations.
• Stay current with training and grow skills.
• Travel to support other locations if needed.
