Kids for the Future is hiring an Optometric Technician in Training in Indianapolis. You’ll start as the doctor’s right hand, performing pre-tests, gathering health information, and prepping patients for care. We provide extensive training, with a two-week paid program and opportunities to grow your skills.

This full-time, non-exempt role offers hands-on experience in a fast-paced clinic, travel to other locations if needed, and a pathway to certifications for wage increases.

Qualifications

• You don’t need eye care experience to start; attitude and willingness to learn matter.
• Mandatory two-week paid training with no absences.
• Comfort with fast-paced clinical environments and procedures.
• Willingness to travel to support other locations if needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-tests and diagnostic procedures with accuracy.
• Collect and document patient medical histories and current information.
• Communicate with doctors and help manage clinic flow.
• Maintain clean, functional equipment for a smooth patient experience.
• Assist with insurance verification, eligibility checks, and authorizations.
