EyeCare Partners in Cary, NC is seeking an Optometric Technician to support ophthalmologists in delivering a world-class Total Patient Experience. You will perform initial testing and operate optical equipment to prepare patients for exams.The role requires strong patient interaction, reliability, and the ability to follow HIPAA and office policies. Proficiency with common office software and a high school diploma are preferred; ophthalmic experience is a plus.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required.
Minimum 1 year interacting with customers/patients.
Able to pass a background check and provide identity/work authorization.
Responsibilities
Embrace and execute our Total Patient Experience to build relationships with all patients while delivering great medical support
Comply with all company policies and procedures including HIPAA
Practice urgency at all times placing value on a patient’s time, as well as the doctor’s time and schedule
Operate manual lensometer, auto-lensometer, autorefractor/keratometer, retinal camera, visual field, GDX or OCT
Clean all examination equipment including tonometer tip
Ability to interact with all levels of employees in a courteous, professional manner at all time
General office duties and cleaning to be assigned by manager
Consistently creating a positive work environment by being team-oriented and patient-focused
Commitment to work hours that meet the needs of the business which may include weekends, schedule changes or an extended schedule
