Eyetastic Services in Costa Mesa, CA, is seeking an Optometric Technician to join its growing eye care team. The role involves hands-on pre-testing, documenting in the EHR, and supporting optical sales while delivering excellent patient service.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years in a retail optometry setting, strong independent work skills, and solid organizational abilities. This is a full-time role with weekday hours and occasional Saturdays.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a retail optometry office.
• Strong optometric pre-testing skills and ability to work independently.
• Experience with optical sales, eyewear dispensing, and EHR documentation.
• Familiarity with vision insurance verification.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform independent pre-testing, including visual acuity, auto-refraction, tonometry, retinal imaging, OCT, visual fields, and more.
• Accurately document patient information and exam findings within the EHR system.
• Provide optical sales support, including frame styling, lens recommendations, eyewear dispensing, and patient education.
• Schedule patient appointments, manage clinic flow, and verify vision insurance benefits.
• Deliver outstanding customer service and assist with patient intake, check-in, and clinic operations.
• Maintain exam rooms, diagnostic equipment, and clinical supplies.

Key Responsibilities
