Job summary

EmergencyMD in Smithfield, NC is seeking an Optometric Technician to support optometrists in delivering high-quality eye care. You will perform pre-testing, assist during exams, maintain equipment, and educate patients.

No Saturdays, Monday-Friday schedule with training opportunities and a supportive workplace. Strong communication and attention to detail are encouraged for all applicants.

Your Role:

As an Optometric Technician, you will:

• Patient first customer service
• Assist optometrists in providing high-quality eye care services.
• Conduct pre-testing procedures, including visual field testing, retinal imaging, and more.

• Maintain and sanitize equipment to ensure a safe environment for all.

What We're Looking For:

• Previous experience as an optometric technician is a plus but not required - we're happy to train the right candidate.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A passion for healthcare and helping others.
• Attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Being bilingual is a plus.
