Job summary

LensCrafters in Park Ridge, IL seeks an Optometric Technician to deliver the LensCrafters Experience. You will support eye examinations, gather patient history, and prepare patients for exams while maintaining HIPAA-compliant records and coordinating with the optometrist and retail teams.

Ideal candidates have strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills, with a background in healthcare or retail and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Display a professional image and greet patients promptly.
• Answer the telephone in a friendly and courteous manner.
• Assist the optometrist with eye examinations and patient preparation.
• Review prescriptions and patient information carefully; consult when needed.
• Maintain HIPAA-compliant handling of patient records.
• Support retention and scheduling activities for exams.
• Place contact lens orders and manage contact lens room.
• Use CIAO system to input data, insurance and services.
• Maintain safe working environment and inventory.
• Support retail as capacity and patient demand allows.
