Job summary

EyeCare Partners in the United States is seeking an Optometric Technician to support the optometrist and deliver a world class Total Patient Experience. You will perform initial testing to prepare patients for exams using optical equipment.

Ideal candidates have 1 year of patient-facing medical office experience, ophthalmic exposure preferred, and a commitment to HIPAA compliance. The role requires standing/walking and availability for flexible hours, including weekends.

Qualifications

• Previous medical office experience preferred; ophthalmic experience strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year in a position interacting with customers/patients or the equivalent education/experience.
• Favorable result on background check as required by state.
• Must be able to provide proof of identity and right to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Support the Total Patient Experience and build relationships with patients while delivering medical support.
• Comply with company policies and HIPAA requirements.
• Practice urgency and respect patient and doctor time and schedule.
• Operate testing equipment (lensometer, autorefractor/keratometer, retinal camera, visual fields, etc.).
• Follow testing scripts and maintain equipment cleanliness.
• Perform general office duties and assist the manager as needed.
• Contribute to a positive, patient-focused work environment.
• Commit to work hours that meet business needs, including weekends or schedule changes.
