Job summary

Visionworks is seeking an OD Tech/Optometric Assistant to be the friendly face of our exam practice, helping patients from check-in through the exam experience with knowledgeable support and care.

You will assist with preliminary testing, patient education, product recommendations, and daily store operations, including opening/closing tasks and phone support. This is a part-time position with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• HS diploma, GED or equivalent related job experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain complete and accurate patient records before conducing preliminary testing.
• Introduce patient to OD and provide OD with important patient information.
• Transition patient from doctor to sales floor and educate on products and services.
• Support store exam lane maintenance and patient experience goals, including restocking inventory, cleaning equipment, and answering phones.
