Job summary

Visionworks OD Tech/Optometric Assistant is the face of our Exam Practice, trained in eye health, preliminary testing, optics and managed vision care, and dedicated to guiding every patient through the Visionworks journey with clarity and care.

In this part-time, in-store role, you will welcome patients, transition them from doctor to sales floor, support exam lane maintenance, restock inventory, answer phones, and help educate customers on products and services that fit their eye care needs.

Qualifications

• Related customer or patient experience preferred, but not necessary.

Responsibilities

• Maintain complete and accurate patient records before conducing preliminary testing
• Introduce patient to OD and provide OD with important patient information
• Transition patient from doctor to sales floor and provide associates necessary information
• Execute day-to-day operational activities to support the store's exam lane maintenance and patient experience goals including: restocking inventory, cleaning equipment, and answering phones to meet additional patient needs
• Will open/close the store/office to support business as needed
