Job summary

Visionworks is seeking a friendly OD Tech/Optometric Assistant to be the face of our exam practice, guiding patients through the Visionworks experience with a simple, human and bold approach.

Candidates with customer service background and a HS diploma are welcome; this part-time role supports testing, product education, and store operations, including opening/closing.

Qualifications

• Customer or patient experience preferred but not required.
• HS diploma, GED or equivalent related job experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain complete and accurate patient records before conducing preliminary testing.
• Introduce patient to OD and provide OD with important patient information.
• Transition patient from doctor to sales floor and provide associates necessary information to educate and recommend products and services.
• Execute day-to-day operational activities to support the store's exam lane maintenance and patient experience goals including restocking inventory, cleaning equipment, and answering phones to meet additional patient needs.
• Will open/close the store/office to support business as needed.
