Pay Class: Part Time
Pay: $10.64-$14.10 per hour

The Role
A Visionworks OD Tech/Optometric Assistant is the face of our Exam Practice, ensuring the best patient experience. This role involves training and knowledge in eye health, preliminary testing, optics, products, and managed vision care. The OD Tech guides patients through the initial steps of their Visionworks experience, ensuring their eye exam needs are met in a friendly and professional manner.

• Maintain accurate patient records before conducting preliminary testing
• Introduce patients to the OD and provide relevant information
• Assist in transitioning patients from the doctor to the sales floor, educating and recommending suitable products and services
• Support store operations, including restocking, equipment cleaning, and answering phones to meet patient needs
• Support opening and closing the store/office as needed

Qualifications
Related customer or patient experience is preferred but not required. Must have a HS diploma, GED, or equivalent. Licensed OD Techs must maintain a State Opticians License.
