Pay Class: Part Time

Pay: $10.64-$14.10 per hour

The Role:

A Visionworks OD Tech/Optometric Assistant is the face of our Exam Practice, dedicated to ensuring a positive patient experience. This role involves training and knowledge in eye health, preliminary testing, optics, products/services, and managed vision care. The OD Tech guides patients through the initial steps of their eye care journey, ensuring their needs are met in a friendly and professional manner.

• Maintain accurate patient records before conducting preliminary tests.
• Introduce patients to the OD and share important patient information.
• Assist in transitioning patients from the doctor to the sales floor, providing staff with necessary information to recommend products and services.
• Support daily operations such as restocking, equipment cleaning, and answering phones to enhance the patient experience.
• Support opening and closing the store as needed.

Qualifications:

• Customer or patient service experience preferred but not required.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent; related job experience is acceptable.
• Licensed OD Techs must maintain a State Opticians License.
