The Role

A Visionworks Clinical Specialist (CS)/Optometric Assistant is the face of our exam practice, dedicated to ensuring the best patient experience. This role involves training and knowledge in eye health, preliminary testing, optics, and vision care products/services. The CS guides patients through the initial steps of their eye care journey, ensuring needs are met humanely and confidently.

• Maintain accurate patient records before preliminary testing
• Introduce patients to the OD and share important information
• Assist in transitioning patients from the doctor to the sales floor, educating and recommending suitable products/services
• Support daily operations, including inventory restocking, equipment cleaning, and answering phones to enhance patient experience

Qualifications

• Customer or patient service experience preferred but not required
• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent; related experience is a plus
