Job summary

Qualifications

• 3+ years of opto-mechanical / fiber optics experience.
• Experience in optical alignment and assembly using fixtures, hand tools and microscopes.
• Experience in performing visual inspections with or without microscope.
• Experience in measurements using calipers, micrometers, pin gauges, thread gauges, and height gauges.
• Ability to document and communicate inspection results in detail.
• Able to work independently and with others.
• Strong communication, proactive and well organized.
• Good understanding of engineering principles.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and procedures.
• Suggest improvements and follow instructions with safety focus.
• Detail oriented with quality mindset.

Responsibilities

• Assemble optical components and subsystems per drawings or specs.
• Assemble products using procedures and specifications.
• Repair or troubleshoot defective products.
• Assist engineering in building and testing prototypes.
• Collect and analyze data as needed.
• Test product performance.
• Inspect optical components and assemblies.
• Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections.
• Document inspection reports and communicate findings with QA, Design, Manufacturing.
• Support other duties as assigned.
