Qualifikationen

• 2-6 years of experience in design and manufacturing of optical systems for consumer electronics
• Proficiency with 3D modeling and 2D drafting in SolidWorks or similar CAD
• Familiarity with optical design software is a plus
• Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical/optical engineering or related field

Aufgaben

• Design opto-mechanical components to enclose and align optical elements within system tolerance specifications
• Select materials and manufacturing processes based on tolerance, temperature variation, and assembly requirements
• Collaborate with optical engineers to ensure components meet performance requirements
• Support operations as a technical resource on optics issues
• Support optics development team during engineering builds and production ramp-ups
• Inspect parts against engineering drawings and/or electrical schematics
• Assemble optics and mechanical prototypes from drawings
• Prototype testing and documentation
• Assist manufacturing in bringing up automated assembly stations
• Design, build, and debug opto-mechanical alignment and assembly stations
• Produce design documentation for vendors with drawings and tolerances
• Travel overseas (up to 20%)
