Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a technical field such as Mechanical, Electrical, Optical Engineering Technology, or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of experience assembling and testing precision electro-mechanical or opto-mechanical products.
• Experience reading and interpreting mechanical drawings and bills of materials.
• Strong manual dexterity and ability to work with miniature precision components under magnification.
• Ability to work independently while supporting multiple engineering projects in a fast-paced development environment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Assemble precision electro-mechanical and opto-mechanical hardware including microdisplays, optical assemblies, electronic subassemblies, sensors, cabling, and complete system prototypes.
• Perform prototype builds directly from engineering drawings, CAD models, work instructions, bills of materials, and verbal guidance.
• Support engineering development by assembling, modifying, and reworking prototype hardware through multiple design iterations.
• Integrate optical, mechanical, and electrical subsystems into complete products while identifying assembly, tolerance, and manufacturability issues.
• Execute functional, environmental, and performance testing using engineering procedures and document results.
