Job summary

CACI International Inc in Danbury, CT seeks a Mechanical Engineer to support design and analysis of hardware for opto-mechanical systems with high reliability in space, air, and ground payloads.

You will use CREO to develop models and drawings, manage data with Windchill PDMLink, perform simulations with CREO Simulate, and contribute to reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR). A security clearance and US citizenship are required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of related work experience.
• Background in opto-mechanical, electro-mechanical, thermal and/or structural systems development.
• Experience with SolidWorks or equivalent.
• Experience with GD&T, manufacturing, and testing.
• Sole US citizenship is required and ability to obtain security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design and analyze hardware for space, air, and ground-based opto-mechanical payloads.
• Follow engineering design processes and coordinate with Danbury IPTs.
• Own designs through development and support peer reviews.
• Create models and drawings in CREO; generate BOMs in PDMLink.
• Prepare data packages for procurement and support system integration and test.
• Apply GD&T to precision parts and assemblies.
• Document designs and analyses and communicate status.
