Applied Materials in Santa Clara, CA is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support design and analysis of mechanical systems for semiconductor equipment. You will perform engineering analysis under supervision, design layouts and drawings, and coordinate procurement and assembly of components for design projects.

The role emphasizes documentation of test results, troubleshooting of moderate mechanical issues, and developing tooling and processes across the product life cycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• 2–4 years of related experience.
• Proficiency with CAD software and GD&T is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Perform engineering analysis under general supervision.
• Design or modify mechanical layouts, schematics, or drawings under general supervision.
• Coordinate the procurement and assembly of mechanical components and equipment for design projects; identify sources of critical parts and subsystems to resolve moderately complex technical issues.
• Perform and document engineering test reports; generate alpha/gamma documentation for product releases.
• Perform engineering analysis; troubleshoot a variety of mechanical problems of moderate difficulty under general supervision.
• Design, develop and implement custom mechanical tooling, fixturing and associated processes as needed.
• Enable the handling, assembly and/or disassembly of parts, components, sub-assemblies and final assemblies throughout the product life cycle, as needed
