Job summary

Programmers.io is seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to lead the design of complex electromechanical assemblies from concept to production. You will use NX/Teamcenter as the primary CAD tool and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet high-volume manufacturing goals.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in mechanical design, a track record of shipping high-volume products, and a relevant bachelor’s degree. GD&T, DFM/DFA, and materials knowledge are highly valued.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of mechanical design experience shipping high-volume products.
• Experience designing complex electromechanical assemblies in R&D or production.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design of complex assemblies from concept to production.
• Utilize NX/Teamcenter as primary CAD tool.
• Apply 3D/2D CAD, DFM/DFA, GD&T, materials knowledge for high-volume manufacturing.
• Be onsite in Redmond, WA or Sunnyvale, CA.

Key Responsibilities

• Demonstrated experience leading the design of complex assemblies and systems from concept to production
• Expertise using Nx/Teamcenter as a primary CAD software
• Expertise in 3D/2D CAD, DFM/DFA, GD&T, material properties, and high-volume manufacturing techniques
• Candidate must be onsite in Redmond or Sunnyvale office

Required Skills

• 5+ years of industry experience in mechanical design, with demonstrated track record of shipping high-volume commercial products and/or designing complex electromechanical assemblies in a research/prototype environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field and/or equivalent industry experience
