Job summary

RTX Corporation in McKinney, TX is hiring a Mechanical Engineer for the Airborne & Ground Optics team. You will shepherd mechanical design from concept through model/drawings, collaborating with chief and product engineers in a fast-paced, onsite setting.

You will use CREO, PDM, and be involved in engineering change and drawing release processes. A STEM degree with 8+ years experience (or an advanced degree with 5+ years) plus 3D modeling skills is required; security clearance is essential for

Qualifications

• Typically requires STEM degree and 8+ years experience or an advanced degree with 5+ years experience.
• Experience in design and prototyping of electromechanical systems.
• Experience with 3D modeling software (CREO, SolidWorks, or equivalent).
• Experience planning, directing and coordinating tasks or small projects with multiple contributors.

Responsibilities

• Utilize RTX tools including CREO modeling and PDM for design and documentation.
• Provide design and documentation support using engineering tools, Adobe, and MS Office.
• Execute engineering change and drawing release processes.
• Perform analytical/technical engineering work within a program environment; present designs as needed.
• May participate in building hardware in a lab environment.
• Train on Raytheon processes and procedures.
