Job summary

MKS Inc. in Irvine, CA is seeking an Opto/Mechanical Technician responsible for assembling optical systems and subassemblies in a clean-room environment. You will follow procedures, enter data into Excel templates, and support cross-training across teams.

The role offers hourly compensation, a discretionary annual bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, 401(k) with company match, holidays and vacation time. This is a full-time, on-site position.

• Package the final assembly daily (if assembly is completed)
• Cross training is required (trainee and/or trainer)

• Audit 1-2 work order kits from warehouse to confirm pieces and part numbers

• Assemble and debug systems incorporating optical, mechanical, and electronic components
• Test each level of assembly (4-5 processes) at the system level using laboratory instruments

Compensation and Benefits:

Hourly Pay Range: $18.89 - 31.49 per hour. This range is a good faith estimate of the expected salary range for this position, based on a wide range of factors including qualifications, experience and training, operational and business needs and other considerations permitted by law. At MKS, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role.

Bonus: This position is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, in an amount to be determined by MKS [or as applicable].
