Job summary

IDEX Health & Science, a unit of IDEX Corporation, has an opening for a Manufacturing Supervisor on A-Shift at the Optics COE in West Henrietta, NY. The role focuses on supervising high-precision optical production, coordinating with Materials, Equipment, and Staffing, and driving continuous improvement.

The successful candidate will guide teams through Lean manufacturing practices, ensure safe and efficient operations, and partner with Cross-Functional teams to meet schedules and quality goals.

Qualifications

• Two years of supervisory experience required.
• Experience in Lean manufacturing preferred.
• Manufacturing background in low-volume/high-mix environments.
• Experience with ERP systems such as JD Edwards.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration with internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision to all functions of the Production process, Materials, Equipment and Staffing assignments for LS0 Systems value streams.
• Lead daily manufacturing meetings and communicate metrics on Safety, Quality, and Delivery.
• Develop and implement process standardization and CI initiatives.
• Coach production technicians and collaborate with Process Engineering on improvements.
• Ensure schedules are attainable and resolve production issues with cross-functional teams.
