Job summary

Xcimer Energy is hiring an Optics Manufacturing Engineer in Denver, CO to optimize production of optical assemblies, vessels, diagnostics, and optics. You will translate designs into hardware, author work instructions, and mentor technicians while driving quality and throughput improvements on the manufacturing floor.

The role requires 8+ years in an R&D manufacturing setting, proficiency with Siemens NX, GD&T, and strong problem-solving.

Qualifications

• Requires BS in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Aerospace or equivalent.
• 8+ years in manufacturing/engineering within an R&D environment.
• Develop clear manufacturing work instructions for fabrication, assembly, testing, and integration.
• Strong management of quality control, build sequence optimization, and schedule adherence.
• Conduct engineering drawing reviews and approve manufacturing.
• Proficient in root cause analysis and corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Provide DFM/A input to design team.
• Translate configurations into hardware ready for test and use.
• Create and modify work instructions and routings for technicians.
• Improve manufacturing quality and throughput; optimize build sequences.
• Support assembly with hands-on guidance.
• Define repair and rework procedures as needed.
