Xcimer Energy in Denver, CO seeks an Optical Operations Technician to join our on-site manufacturing operations team. You will apply your optical assembly and alignment skills to deliver precision laser systems for inertial fusion energy projects.

The role requires a degree and laser experience, strict adherence to safety and cleanroom practices, and the ability to work both independently and within multi-functional teams. On-site work with competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelor's degree with 1–3 years high average power laser work or 3–5 years laser alignment experience.
• Experience with opto-mechanical assembly and laser alignment.
• Able to handle fragile optics and move precisely.

Responsibilities

• Assemble vacuum assemblies, operate pumps and pressure vessels.
• Follow Work Instructions and SOPs to meet quality requirements.
• Adhere to cleanroom protocols and safety standards.
• Support lean manufacturing and 5S activities.
• Participate in stand-up meetings and communicate blockers.
• Support laser safety audits and related activities.
• Learn daily laser system operations and optical processes at Xcimer Energy.
