Job summary

Irving Knight Group seeks an experienced Optics Product Manufacturing Engineer in Colorado Springs to drive manufacturability and testability of optical transceiver products. You will partner with product teams to transition designs into scalable, cost-effective manufacturing processes, owning design integrity from Beta to production and guiding engineering changes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field is required.
• Experience with manufacturing and assembly processes for optics or electronics.
• Familiarity with design for manufacturing and design for test concepts.
• Ability to apply FMEA, SPC, DOE and phase gate processes.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to product development through design for manufacturing and testing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to transition designs into scalable production.
• Develop control plans and manufacturing tests to meet market needs.
• Ensure documentation and design artifacts are maintained post-transition.
• Troubleshoot optoelectronic performance issues during production ramp.
• Track orders through development to ensure on-schedule delivery within cost targets.
