Job summary

Amphenol Communications Solutions (ACS), a division of Amphenol Corporation, seeks a Field Sales Engineer- Optics in Santa Clara, CA. You will drive design wins, manage OEM and distributor relationships, and promote optical interconnect solutions for AI, cloud, data center, and telecom markets.

The role offers a base salary range of $91,800 to $174,240 USD annually, with comprehensive benefits and a company vehicle. Travel is required to support strategic accounts and growth initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and 3+ years in field sales/applications engineering or related roles.
• Experience in optics, photonics, networking, fiber optics, semiconductors, or related industries preferred.
• Understanding of high-speed networking, data center architectures, AI infrastructure, or telecom systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide sales leadership and coordinate with Field Application Engineers, Product Managers, and Optical Engineering teams.
• Promote and sell optical interconnect solutions including fiber optic assemblies, transceivers, active optical cables, and optical engines.
• Identify optical connectivity opportunities and secure design wins with customer engineering teams.
• Develop and execute territory growth strategies and account plans.
• Meet and exceed revenue objectives through new product adoption and strategic account management.
• Drive customer engagement around AI, HPC, cloud, and networking optical technologies.
• Provide technical sales support during qualification, design reviews, and implementation activities.
