Comprehensive Mobile Care (CMC) is seeking an Optician / Medical Assistant to support senior outpatient clinics across multiple clinics around San Diego, CA.

You will assist the optometrist with patient intake, eyewear fittings, and basic tests while communicating with Spanish- and English-speaking patients. The role offers a stable schedule and mileage reimbursement in a compassionate healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• 2+ years as an Optician or Optometric Technician.
• Spanish proficiency required.
• Experience serving senior populations preferred.
• OSHA/infection control knowledge is preferred.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license.

Comprehensive Mobile Care (CMC) is seeking an Optician / Medical Assistant to support senior outpatient clinics across multiple clinics around San Diego, California — one clinic per day.

This is not a high-volume retail model. We focus on quality care, meaningful patient interaction, and strong support for the providers and clinical teams we serve.

There may also be opportunities to cross-train in additional clinical areas such as audiology and podiatry.

What You’ll Do

• Assist the optometrist with patient intake, visual screenings, and basic diagnostic testing
• Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients, including Spanish and English speaking patients
• Assist with eyewear selection, adjustments, fittings, and basic repairs
• Set up, break down, and maintain portable optometry equipment
• Follow sterilization, safety, and infection control protocols
• Complete basic documentation, charting, and administrative tasks
• Represent CMC with professionalism, compassion, and reliability

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as an Optician or Optometric Technician preferred
• Medical Assisting experience is a plus
• Bilingual Spanish proficiency required
• Experience serving geriatric or senior populations preferred
• Strong understanding of OSHA and infection control standards
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license required
• Able to lift and transport equipment, typically 25–50 lbs
• Must be able to pass a federal background check and drug screening
• Professional, punctual, and able to work independently
• A heart for serving seniors and underserved communities
