Job summary

Chapa-De is a nonprofit community health center with clinics in Auburn and Grass Valley, CA, seeking an Optometry team member to provide compassionate eyewear care and vision services.

You will coordinate appointments, perform diagnostic testing such as retinal imaging and OCT, assist with frame and lens selections, manage orders, and support outreach, all while upholding privacy and compliance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• ABO certification is required.
• 5 years of experience in an optometry or ophthalmology office.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate appointments, answer questions, verify insurance, and guide patients through their vision care journey.
• Support clinical vision services by performing diagnostic testing including retinal imaging, OCT, and visual field testing.
• Assist with frame selection, lens recommendations, eyewear fittings, repairs, and contact lens education.
• Manage optical orders and inventory with labs, inspect eyewear for quality, and ensure timely delivery.
• Support community outreach and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and patient privacy.
