Job summary

Dr. Tavel Optical Group in Muncie is seeking an Optician in Training. You’ll learn eyewear selection, lens options, and patient care while delivering friendly, precise service.

This paid training program covers all job aspects; you’ll attend a two-week training course at our Indianapolis office, with coaching and growth milestones. Availability includes some Saturdays; travel to other locations may be required.

Responsibilities

• Guide patients in selecting eyewear that fits their face, lifestyle, and vision needs.
• Educate patients on lens options, eyewear care, and how to get the most out of their glasses.
• Manage front-d desk tasks like insurance verification, scheduling, and benefit authorizations.
• Place and process eyewear orders with precision and troubleshoot issues.
• Make minor repairs and adjustments for proper fit.
• Build lasting relationships with patients and encourage repeat visits.
• Complete training, certifications, and growth milestones.
• Ability to travel to support other locations if needed.
