Dr. Tavel Optical Group is hiring an Optician in Training in Indianapolis. You will learn eyewear fitting, lens options, and patient education while working in a fast-paced setting that focuses on service and accuracy.

The role emphasizes coaching, ongoing training, and growth into a full optician position, with a structured two-week training program at the corporate office and potential to advance as you gain experience.

Qualifications

Training is mandatory and paid. You’ll attend a two-week training course at our corporate office in Indianapolis.

No absences are allowed during training.

Responsibilities

Guide patients in selecting eyewear that fits their face, lifestyle, and vision needs.
Educate patients on lens options, eyewear care, and how to get the most out of their glasses.
Manage front-desk tasks like insurance verification, scheduling, and benefit authorizations with accuracy.
Place and process eyewear orders with precision and troubleshoot when needed.
Make minor repairs and adjustments for proper fit.
Build lasting relationships with patients to keep them coming back.
Stay on top of your development and complete training milestones.
