Job summary

Omni Eye Specialists in Wilmington, NC seeks an in-person professional to deliver exceptional eye-care services and assist patients with eyewear choices. You will review prescriptions, educate patients on lens options, and ensure satisfaction with products and care.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of experience, strong interpersonal skills, and a willingness to learn. Training for optical processes is provided; prior optical experience is a plus.

Qualifications

General Job Description & Responsibilities

The primary responsibility of this position is to ensure that all patients are receiving the best quality of care at all times. Primary responsibilities include:

• Review Physician’s prescriptions and orders based on medical charts
• Educate patients on their corrective lens options and help them make a choice that fits their medical needs as well as lifestyle preferences
• Provide honest but compassionate feedback about aesthetic choices in frames
• Achieve sales goals and quotas as determined by office staff while attending to patients’ specific needs and desires
• Manage inventory of frames and contact lenses to ensure optimum customer satisfaction and product variety
• Communicate with physician with questions or concerns about prescriptions and other eye-related issues
• Perform adjustments and repairs of eyewear
• Place optical orders with a general understanding of insurance benefits

Experience & Skills

Excellent customer service skills and personal presentation are critical to this role. The ideal candidate will have minimum 1 year of experience and:

• Flexible and adaptable
• Professional phone and office etiquette required
