Job summary

Bridgeview Eye Partners in Marion, IN seeks an optician to guide patients through eyewear selection, explain doctor recommendations, and provide excellent customer service.

You will assist with lens and frame choices, manage insurance co-pays, enter orders, and maintain optical inventory and displays in a professional medical office setting.

Starting wage is $15-$17 based on experience, with holidays, PTO, benefits, and opportunities for certification-based wage growth.

Qualifications

• Assist patients in selecting spectacles and educating on lens options.
• Calculate insurance co-pays based on eligibility.
• Enter orders accurately and monitor dispensing status daily.
• Maintain inventory and displays in the optical area.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in selecting spectacles and educating on quality choices.
• Calculate insurance co-pay based on eligibility.
• Enter spectacle orders accurately and monitor status.
• Notify patients and schedule dispensing.
• Follow up with patients on adapting to eyewear and contacts.
• Perform spectacle adjustments and repairs.
• Educate patients on eyewear care.
• Maintain inventory and displays of optical merchandise.
• Monitor patient flow and communicate delays.
