SVS Vision Opticians in Louisville, KY, is seeking a full-time Optician to help customers select and dispense eyewear, align lenses and frames with prescriptions, and support pre-exam screening and medical billing processes.

You will join a team of eye care professionals and enjoy additional earnings through a sales commission plus annual benefits, including paid time off and growth opportunities within SVS Vision.

Qualifications

• Maintain license as required by State.
• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• Previous experience in an office and/or optical dispensing setting preferred.
• Able to handle multiple customer interactions/phone calls at a time.
• Able to work with eyewear needs including analyzing prescriptions, repairs and adjustments.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer and patient service according to company and store standards.
• Analyze patient eyewear needs.
• Recommend specific lenses, lens coatings and frames to satisfy patient needs.
• Assist patients in selecting frames according to style and color; ensure frames are coordinated with facial and eye measurements and prescriptions.
• Order and dispense eyewear accurately and professionally.
• Assist patients with frame repairs and adjustments.
• Show patients how to insert, remove and care for their contact lenses.
