Job summary

SVS Vision Opticians will help customers select eyewear, lenses and contacts, ensuring prescriptions are understood and properly fulfilled. The role involves preparing orders for the Optical Lab, handling pre-screening and billing information while maintaining accuracy and patient focus.

The position emphasizes excellent customer service, team collaboration with eye care professionals, and precise merchandising of frames and accessories to meet individual needs.

Qualifications

• Maintain license as required by State
• High School Graduate or equivalent
• Previous experience in an office and/or optical dispensing setting is preferred
• Able to handle multiple customer interactions/phone calls at a time
• Able to work with patient eyewear needs including analyzing prescriptions, repairs and adjustments and lifestyle dispensing

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent patient and customer service according to company and store standards
• Analyze patient eyewear needs
• Recommend specific lenses, lens coatings and frames to satisfy patient needs
• Assist patients in selecting frames according to style and color
• Order and dispense eyewear accurately and professionally
• Assist patients with proper frame repairs and adjustments
• Show patients how to insert, remove and care for their contact lenses
• Maintain frame inventory and process medical billing information
• Organize and file patient and customer records
