Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in engineering, computer science, telecommunications, information technology, or related field.
• Experience engineering, implementing, operating, or supporting enterprise optical transport or related networks.
• Knowledge of optical transmission principles and related troubleshooting methods.
• Strong ability to coordinate multiple activities with stakeholders and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Design, engineer, configure, implement, test, and support optical transport systems for critical infrastructure.
• Perform capacity planning, wavelength assignment, provisioning, and lifecycle sustainment activities.
• Troubleshoot optical transport service degradations and outages using multiple data sources.
• Coordinate maintenance, fiber cutovers, migrations, software upgrades, and service restoration.
• Maintain accurate network documentation and alarming references.
