Corning's Test and Qualification Laboratory seeks a Supervisor to oversee lab operations and guide a team of T&Q technicians and engineers. You will manage testing, qualification activities, and ensure high-quality fiber optic measurements.

The role requires a BSc in Engineering or Optical Physics, 5+ years in optics/metrology, and hands-on experience with lasers, switches, and power meters. You will work closely with internal customers and support calibration and capability development.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor in Engineering or Optical Physics.
• 5+ years in optics/optical metrology.
• Hands-on with fiber optic components and test equipment.
• Strong knowledge of statistical data analysis.

Aufgaben

• Supervise all activity in a fiber optic testing lab and related qualification work.
• Interface with internal customers for test programs.
• Assess need for new measurement systems and automate where possible.
• Maintain a robust calibration program for lab equipment.
• Develop budgets, schedules and performance standards for the lab.
