Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Physics or equivalent experience.
• Experience in a laboratory environment.
• Hands-on experience with optical test equipment (lasers, optical switches, and power meters).
• Strong knowledge of optical metrology.
• Demonstrated programming skills; LabVIEW preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and automate optical test systems; define measurement uncertainty, accuracy, and repeatability for optical equipment.
• Develop and verify test methodologies, calibration procedures, and software for automated test systems.
• Plan and execute product test programs; perform failure mode analysis and troubleshoot optical measurement systems.
• Document, verify, and approve test results, data analysis, and test reports in alignment with Telcordia, ISO, IEC, and customer requirements.
• Identify technical objectives, lead independent experiments, and coach and train technicians and team members.]
