Job summary

Clarkson Eyecare is seeking an Optical Technician to dispense and fit glasses and contacts from physicians' prescriptions. You will assist patients in selecting frames, measure face and eye dimensions, and ensure accurate lens and frame fittings.

The role emphasizes a strong patient experience, with duties including lens verification, education on lenses and coatings, and maintaining organized, compliant work areas in a busy eye care practice.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent experience.
• ABO/ABOC/NCLE certifications preferred but not required.
• Ophthalmic experience preferred; customer-facing experience valued.

Responsibilities

• Deliver world-class Total Patient Experience and build relationships with patients.
• Assist patients in selecting frames based on style, color, measurements, and prescriptions.
• Operate auto-lensometer and manual lensometer to verify prescriptions.
