Job summary

Clarkson Eyecare is seeking an Optical Technician to dispense and fit glasses and contacts from ophthalmologists' and optometrists' prescriptions. You will assist patients in frame selection, operate lensometry equipment, and recommend lenses and coatings to suit needs.

Responsibilities include accurate measurements, maintaining clean, well-organized displays, and following all policies. A high school diploma or GED is required, with ABO/ABOC/NCLE certifications preferred or obtained within two

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; ophthalmic experience preferred.
• Current ABO/ABOC and NCLE certifications preferred or obtained within 2 years.
• Ability to read and interpret insurance forms and safety documents.
• Strong communication and patient relation skills; HIPAA compliant.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Dispense and fit glasses and contacts per prescriptions.
• Assist patients in selecting frames to match style and measurements.
• Operate lensometry equipment and educate on lenses and coatings.
• Maintain inventory and ensure accurate frame presentation.
• Provide general office support and uphold policies and procedures.
