Bright Silicon Technologies in Pleasanton, CA seeks a hands-on systems integration engineer to own integration and controller bring-up for OCTANE’s PAT systems, linking models to real hardware.

You will collaborate with controls, DSP, firmware, optics, and photonics teams to assemble subsystems into a functioning optical terminal and drive integration of sensors and actuators into cohesive architectures.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience integrating hardware and software in electromechanical systems.
• Experience bringing a closed-loop controller from simulation to hardware.
• Proficiency with MATLAB for modeling and analysis and C++ for hardware integration.
• Excellent communication and technical ownership.
• U.S. Citizenship is required for government projects.

Responsabilités

• Own hands-on integration of sensing, actuation, and control software with optical and mechanical hardware.
• Bring control algorithms from simulation into operation on physical hardware with our controls and DSP engineers.
• Characterize real system behavior and refine models, calibration, and controllers based on experiments.
• Maintain MATLAB models and analysis tools and C++ integration and test software to connect subsystems.
• Troubleshoot problems across hardware and software interfaces and establish repeatable tests.
• Lead integration of sensors, actuators, and mechanical subsystems into cohesive architectures.
