Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Systems in Chandler, AZ is seeking an Optical Subsystem I&T Engineer to support the EO Group within the Launch Vehicles unit. You will assist in integrating and testing EO hardware with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to ensure performance at subassembly and system levels.

Required are a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree requirement with 2 years of relevant experience or Master’s degree.
• Ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance at time of application.
• Familiarity with optical/electro-optical systems handling and lab tools.
• Familiarity with lab safety protocols including laser safety.

Responsibilities

• Support the integration and testing of electro-optical subsystems (EO).
• Assist in development and review of test plans and procedures.
• Execute test activities, collect data, and contribute to analysis.
• Maintain and calibrate optical test equipment and labs.
• Document results and prepare test reports for stakeholders.
• Collaborate with systems engineers and design teams to meet milestones.
• Follow safety standards for lab and testing activities.
• Participate in team meetings and training to grow skills.
• Support root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
