Job summary

National Vision, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Eyeglass Manager in Mesquite, TX.

You will lead the eyeglass department, coach a team of Opticians and sales associates, and drive store performance through effective operations and customer service. You will monitor profits and sales, ensure compliance with company policies, and collaborate with leadership to execute promotions and merchandising across the store.

Qualifications

• Optical sales experience; Supervising experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for leading a team.
• Solid understanding of store operations and achieving performance metrics.
• Ability to read financial reports and manage budgets.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and achieve profit, sales and performance goals (review P&L).
• Oversee the eyeglass department for efficiency and policy compliance.
• Provide outstanding customer service and ensure the team does the same.
• Ensure quality standards, review remakes, and enforce policies.
• Communicate with General Manager, District Manager, and Corporate Office; provide store reporting.
• Ensure promotions, advertising, and visual merchandising are in place and understood by staff.
• Supervise and motivate Opticians and sales associates; manage day-to-day operations.
• Assist GM with staffing forecasts, recruiting, selecting and retaining a high-caliber team.
• Motivate associates to exceed performance standards.
