Job summary

Walmart Optical is seeking an Optical Associate at our Katy, TX location. You will stock and present eyewear, perform measurements, and assist members with purchases and repairs. You will handle POS transactions, educate customers on lens care, and ensure accurate prescription verification.

Responsibilities include measuring pupillary distance, assisting with frames, and coordinating with labs and optometrists as needed. Prior retail or health-care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or within 12 months of hire.
• ABO certification must be obtained within 15 months of hire.
• Ability to work with eyewear measurements and lens prescriptions.

Responsibilities

• Stock and present merchandise, manage displays, and handle pricing and signing.
• Operate POS system and process member purchases, returns, and exchanges.
• Educate members on eyewear usage and care, assist with fittings and repairs.
• Measure pupillary distance and position for various lens types.
• Manage patient appointments and collaborate with labs and optometrists as needed.
