Job summary

Walmart Inc. seeks an Optical Associate at our Katy, TX location to assist members with eyewear selections, measurements, and dispensing. You will process orders, handle payments, and maintain the optical area while upholding privacy and store policies.

Responsibilities include collaborating with labs and optometrists, managing inventory, and ensuring accurate prescriptions and adjustments. Prior experience is beneficial, and licensure steps must be pursued as applicable.

Qualifications

• ABO certification is required.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Willingness to obtain state licensure within 18 months of hire.
• Retail optical experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist members with eyewear selection, measurements, and adjustments.
• Process orders and payments using the POS system and handle returns if needed.
• Maintain and display optical merchandise, inventory, and cleanliness.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and protect patient privacy during service.
• Coordinate with labs and optometrists on order status and updates.
