Job summary

Shopko Optical in Madison, WI seeks a Full-time Optical Sales Associate to provide exceptional patient and customer service in eyewear selection, ordering and dispensing. On-the-job training provided, no experience required.

You will assist with frame and lens selections, verify prescriptions, help with fitting, repairs and adjustments, and support the Optometrist as needed. The role requires flexibility for evenings/weekends and a focus on care for patients.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Maintain license as required by state.
• On-the-job training and certification available.
• Previous experience in an office and/or optical dispensing preferred.
• Ability to handle multiple customer interactions simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer and patient service.
• Analyze eyewear needs and recommend lenses, coatings, and frames.
• Assist patients with frame selection, measurements, and prescriptions.
• Order and dispense eyewear accurately and professionally.
• Assist with frame repairs, adjustments and contact lens care.
• Support the Optometrist with case histories and screenings.
